Alex Jones Memorial
Alex...gone but NEVER forgotten

Welcome!

Welcome to the Alex Jones Memorial Web Site.  We are thrilled to have you visit.  Our 5th Annual Golf Outing is Friday, June 13, 2014 at Heatherwoode Golf Course in Springboro, Ohio.  This is a scramble format, Shot Gun start 1:30PM with dinner to follow at 6:30PM.

The golf outing started as a way for our family to deal with Alex's death. It has become so much more as we continue to connect with people who live, and live well might we add, with Crohn's and Colitis. It is awareness of the impact of the diseases as well as the incredible community that comes from sharing and networking with all the wonderful people we have been privileged to have met. We are inspired by their stories and humbled by the blessings that come with hosting the Golf outing each year in Alex's memory. Dave, Adam and I are so fortunate to be able to continue to raise money to fund research, find better treatments, raise awareness and be part of the CCFA community. Thanks to all from the bottom of our hearts and souls.  Through our annual golf outing, we raise money to support various programs associated with CCFA in SW Ohio.  We have sponsored Team Challenge runners, Camp Oasis, and made numerous donations to CCFA.

Our goal this year is to raise $15,000.00.  You can help by registering for our golf outing, attending our dinner at the Outing,  buying raffle tickets and bidding on silent auction items.  If you cannot attend the outing or dinner and wish to support our event, you can make donations on our website.

With the support of our family and friends, we have been fortunate to have raised $50,000.00 from our first 4 golf outings.  We thank everyone who has participated in our event.  This year looks to be a great year.  We look forward to helping fund research for better treatments and eventual cures for these diseases.  By supporting this event, you are helping to raise awareness of both Crohn’s and Colitis.  It is amazing how many families are affected by these diseases.

Our speaker at our dinner this past year was Chad Kelley.  We like to spot light those have firsthand experience living with these conditions.  In past years, we have been fortunate to feature Dave Vermette,  Devon Buesking, Elise and Ken Baum who spoke about living and thriving with Crohn’s or Colitis disease.

You can register for the outing or dinner and make donations on this web site by clicking on the tabs along the right side of our home page.  You can read Alex’s story or look at pictures from our previous outings. You can also contact us if you have any questions.

We thank you again for visiting, and we look forward to your support.
