Alex Jones Memorial
Alex...gone but NEVER forgotten
The Golf outing started as a way for our family to deal with Alex’s death. It has become so much more as we continue to connect with people who live and prosper with Crohn’s and Colitis. It continues to raise awareness of the diseases as well as promoting the incredible community that comes from the sharing and networking with all the wonderful people have been privileged to have met. We continue to be inspired and impacted by their stories and humbled by the many blessings that come with hosting the Golf Outing each year in Alex’s memory. Dave, Adam and I feel so fortunate to be able to continue to money to fund research, find better treatments, raise awareness and be a part of the CCFA community. Thanks to all of you for your continued support.
Last year we were able to raise $16000.00 which added to our previous year’s total of 50,000,00 raised and donated to Team Challenge runners and walkers, Camp Oasis and direct donations to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. So over $66,000.00 in 5years has been raised. Our goal for 2015 is again 15,000.oo. You can help us by registering for our golf outing, attending the dinner at the outing, buying raffle tickets and bidding on silent auction items. If you cannot attend the outing or dinner and wish to support our even, you can make donations on our website.
Last year’s dinner featured Alex Jofriet, who is now a freshman at UC. His inspiring story of dealing with Crohn’s disease was such a fine example of why we continue to fund raise- to find better treatments, raise awareness and to finally find cures for these disease. Alex has had a great first year at UC and we wish him the best! We have featured, Dave Vermette, Devon Buesking, Elise and Ken Baum, and Chad Kelly as well as Alex at our past dinners. Trust me when I say this year’s speaker will be another outstanding example of courage and success!
You can register for the outing or dinner and make donations on this web site by clocking on the tabs along the right side of our home page. You can read Alex’s story, look at pictures from our previous outings and contact us from this web site.
We thank you again for visiting and look forward to your support. We love you all.
